Before your mind wanders off to that good ole’ country town in Texas, sit tight. We’re not talking about that Dallas! We’re talking about a young, stunning, multi-talented boss chick whose goal is to build a name and legacy; and her name is Dallas Jordann.
A down to earth, kind-hearted, and supportive woman of God, Dallas further describes herself via her website as an “on-air host, YouTube obsessed, hair product junkie, creative writing, still trying to figure it all out, 23-year-old from Florida,” though she has recently relocated to the ATL. She also recently earned a Bachelor's degree in Multimedia Journalism from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton and as of late has joined the oh-so-fun world of blogging.
“It’s a hobby, not a career path,” she says. She attests that the blog is relatable, motivational, and will help readers look outside of themselves. However, she strives to grace our television sets one day while also taking on hosting gigs, in addition to directing, producing, curating events, and much more. “It’s important to be well rounded to take various jobs,” she adds.
Did we mention Ms. Jordann is fly? Well, we should add a frequent flyer -- though she is fly too. But one of her hobbies is that she loves to travel. In fact, her stepfather works for Delta Airlines, so she takes advantage of being able to travel to different places frequently and affordably. “I’ve been traveling since I was six, but I still get nervous on a plane. But I love seeing new things and learning about different cultures,” she says. (Fun fact: She started vlogging when she was vacationing in the Bahamas, and she plans to do more travel blogs and vlogs for her site, which was launched in August of 2018.)
One of the things that drew The Pulpit to Dallas is her passion for self-love, empowerment, and people. She told us that she is not an expert on self-love, even admitting that she is in no way perfect. However, this admission does not stop her from pushing herself and pushing others to be themselves and to go against the grain. She believes like most that when life gives you lemons, you can either be bitter or you can add some sugar and make lemonade.
She firmly believes that everyone has a story of tragedy to triumph, and she intends to cover some of this in her upcoming YouTube series as well, as well as having conversations with ‘real’ people and other fun segments.
In closing, Dallas had one final charge for the ladies:“Be FEARLESS! You got it!” She continues, “Be your biggest fan and motivator. What is meant for you will not pass you by. If you don’t get it, then that’s not what God had planned for you. But be ready for whatever is coming your way. Self teach. Prepare. Just know that it’s coming!”
